Abseil From Table Mountain

Step off the edge of Table Mountain, at 1000 metres above sea level, and abseil into pure vertical space. This is the world’s highest commercial abseil, at 112m, but the illusion is that you are abseiling 1000m!

Once you get your confidence and start to appreciate the views you can see Cape Town city, Chapmans Peak and the seemingly endless Atlantic Ocean and the Camps Bay and Clifton coastline.

After this adrenaline-filled achievement, another option is to be met by an expert mountain bike instructor who will lead you to the off-road trails for further exploration of Table Mountain by mountain bike. 90% of the ride is downhill with 10% uphill, so either take a relaxing ride absorbing everything Table Mountain has to offer or challenge yourself against the terrain. Halfway along the ride there is also the opportunity to cool off and take a swim in a crystal clear rock pool on the slopes of Table Mountain (summer months only). The final descent is down Devils Peak back into the city, in time for a sundowner!

You can hike or take the cablecar to the top of Table Mountain for this amazing experience. No climbing or abseiling experience is necessary.
