Framed by the ocean and Table Mountain, the elegance, location and comfort of the Victoria & Alfred Hotel is rivalled only by its relaxed atmosphere and warm personal service. Built in 1904 as the North Quay Warehouse and converted in 1990 to a luxury hotel, it is named in honour of the Queen of England and her son who visited the Cape in 1870. The hotel’s guest spaces include a lounge, dining and terrace and the spa, gym and pool are a 2 minute walk away at the sister hotel, The Dock House. The waterfront is an energetic hub of shops, restaurants, bars and fun activities, and an ideal location from which to explore the fascinating Cape attractions.
There are 94 spacious, air-conditioned, en-suite rooms spread over three floors. All rooms boast separate bath, shower and toilet, king-sized beds and are stylish and well-appointed. All have coffee and tea making facilities, with private bar, electronic safe, wireless internet and trouser press. Every room has either a view over vibrant Alfred Basin or the Piazza. On both the first and second floor, there are Mountain and Piazza facing Rooms. The third floor is home to 26 sophisticated loft bedrooms.
Our Opinion - One of the most central hotel on the ever popular V&A Waterfront.
