The island is approximately 40 miles north to south and 28 miles east to west, making it an ideal size to explore. You might like to rent a soft-top jeep and spend a day or two visiting the markets, shops, towns, public beaches and tourist sites of this safe multi-cultural island. With regular flights from Southern and East Africa, Mauritius offers an ideal beach extension to both your Southern and East African adventures. It is also a world-class beach holiday and tourist destination in its own right, with regular direct flights from London and Europe. Mauritius also combines well with the many islands in The Seychelles and the volcanic ruggedness of nearby Reunion.

BEL OMBRE
