Malawi is a land locked country south of the equator, sharing borders with Tanzania to the north, Zambia to the west and Mozambique to the south and east. Its main tourism attraction is Lake Malawi, which dominates the country, the 'Calendar Lake' so called because it is 365 miles and 52 miles at its longest and widest points respectively. But there is more to Malawi than just the lake.
Other attractions include national parks and game reserves, beautiful mountains and plateaux and a rich cultural heritage. And of course there is also the friendly people of Malawi, the legendary welcome is there for all who wish to experience the combination of lake, landscape, wildlife and culture in one of Africa's most beautiful countries.
