Islands of Siankaba is a unique lodge on two untouched islands in the Zambezi River, upstream from the Victoria Falls. There is a wide range of activities available, including a visit to the falls, canoeing, nature trails, a sunset cruise and a visit to a local village and school.
Gloriously positioned in the mighty Zambezi River only 35km upstream of Victoria Falls, Islands of Siankaba offers luxury tented accommodation over two private forested islands. Hidden from the mainland, this retreat is surrounded by indigenous forest and exceptional natural beauty and offers an unparalleled Zambezi River experience. Linked by winding wooden walkways and on the smaller island, the seven tents are raised above the ground in a tree canopy with private decks that extend into the Zambezi River. Fashioned from teak and canvas, tents are spacious with a romantic open plan en-suite bathroom (separate toilet). Large beds complete with mosquito nets and down duvets and pillows are positioned to maximize river views. Additionally the Honeymoon Suite has a private dining area overlooking the Zambezi. Since the opening of the lodge only 5 employees have been hired from outside the area.
The tents are luxuriously furnished featuring thick bath robes, hand selected bathroom products, ceiling fans, minibars and tea and coffee facilities. The open plan main lodge is elegant with a touch of African style. The peaceful backdrop of the forest and exquisite river views creates a natural atmosphere for relaxation either on the stone terrace with comfortable chairs, at dinner, the bar or fireside, the bespoke sun loungers around the pool or the massage suite (additional charge). With land and water activities offered at Islands of Siankaba guests have a choice of a guided tour of Victoria Falls (either side), sunset cruise, makoro trip, guided nature trails, cultural tour or nursery school visit, fishing (seasonal and catch and release) and picnic island lunches. Victoria Falls also offers an array of adventure activities.
