Situated in the heart of the Masai Mara reserve, Keekorok Lodge offers traditional style accommodation, and is surrounded by lush grassland. Being one of the first lodges to open in the reserve over 50 years ago, it was founded in the fortunate position of being in the direct course of the annual phenomenon of the Wildebeest Migration. From July to October, guests are set right in the path of over 2 million Wildebeest who cross over the Mara River into the Masai Mara reserve in search of water and new grass, before heading back south to the plains of the Serengeti.
ROOMS & SUITES
The lodge houses 101 rooms, that all feature an en-suite bathroom and a private patio that overlook various views of the encompassing grassland. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and range from Standard Double rooms to the three-bedroom Presidential Suite.
THE LODGE
Housing a spa, a swimming pool, a tv lounge, a viewing deck, 3 bars, a cafe and a restaurant serving local and international cuisine, you’ll be sure to never run out of things to do. OUR OPINION
The original lodge in the Masai Mara, Keekorok Lodge may be a little dated, but the location is absolutely second to none!
