First and foremost, the Kenyan coastline features long stretches of white sand beaches that can rival the best in the world. These beaches serve as a platform to explore the stunning coral reefs where you can find some amazing opportunities for scuba diving and snorkelling.

The warm waters offer impressive marine life. North of Mombasa the endangered Green sea Turtles lay eggs on the beaches of Watamu, the high spiking coral heads of the Watamu Marine Park attracting shoals of colourful parrot and surgeon fish, and even the possibility to witness the resident white-tip reef sharks.

Mombasa has a rich heritage and today's culture still exhibits that of its past. It is a place steeped in history, since being a prosperous trading town in the 12th century.

You can explore such sights as Forte Jesus de Mombaça (Fort Jesus), located in Old Town and built by the Portuguese in 1591. UNESCO declared the fort a World Heritage Site in 2011 and it remains a popular destination for visitors.
